Dodge City, KS? Deadwood, SD? Tombstone, AZ? Nope, right in your backyard...the Elk Horn Grove! Time: July, 1883. The post office had just been moved from the porch of Theron and Caroline Winters, 1/4 miles south of the Grove to the hill northeast about 2 miles as the crow flies. Join Warren Watson as he describes the action of the Polk City Murderers cornered in the Grove. You’ll also get a glance back into 1883 to experience life in the early Elk Horn area.Free and open to the public. Bring your own lunch - we'll provide the coffee!
