YngveOlsson (1896-1970) immigrated from Denmark in 1918. By 1920, he was working for the Kalo Shop in Chicago - an Arts and Crafts style workshop that designedand created silver jewelry, tablewares, and housewares. He was a master craftsman, known especially for his chased and engraved decoration that often tookthe form of flowers and leaves. For 50 years he was a leading member of the Kalo Shop team, in addition to working out of his home workshop. This exhibitionpresents several original pieces made by Yngve Olsson, as well as his tools, design drawings, and photographs of other works.
